Casual for a Cause

At the Secretary of State’s office we think it’s important to maintain a professional appearance. Every Friday, though, employees are encouraged to wear jeans and contribute $1.00 to “Casual for a Cause.”

This year’s contributions go to Meals on Wheels at the Rocky Mountain Development Center. RMDC helps approximately 500 seniors each year maintain independent living through the Meals on Wheels program. Hot, nutritious meals are delivered Monday through Friday to seniors 60 and over who are homebound because of a disabling physical, emotional, or environmental condition. Meals on Wheels operates in Helena, East Helena, Augusta, Lincoln, Townsend, and Whitehall. Delivery in Boulder is available on Tuesday and Thursday.

The RMDC Meals on Wheels program distributes 45,000 meals per year. This is just one way RMDC helps seniors stay in the home of their choice.
